Cool work gloves. Maybe that was my fault, but I assumed the little one had thin, dainty fingers/wrists. it was true, except that the short fingers were true too. I can have ET fingers too (I've been told that once or twice in my life)! Describe LITTLE gloves as "small". was kind of crooked in an odd place on my fingers (like trying on a pair of custom made jeans). I wear a ring on my middle finger which is a size 5-5.5 and as mentioned above I have long thin fingers. YES, I measured my hand before making my choice; with an open hand (e.g. with the number 5). It was 3.5 wide and 7.5 long (I included about half an inch of the wrist). They will work until I find the best size. Hope something in this helps you!
