Review on 📊 Xiaomi Intelligent BMI Data Analysis Weighing Scale: Smart Weight Control & APP-Based Data Analysis by Troy Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well but instructions are missing

Four stars because while the device is stylish and tasteful the instructions in the box are minimal and useless if you already own a Mi Band watch. The page is pure advertising and useless for problem solving. Like me, you'll probably put batteries in the scale and hop on it, expecting the scale and your Mi Fit app to sync over Bluetooth. Nice try. You can then try to pair the device using your phone's Bluetooth controls. Good idea, but no. First, make sure your Mi App is up to date. I'm using version 3.5.4 on a Pixel 2 Android device. In the Mi Fit app, go to the home screen where you can see your daily steps and other data and tap "Profile" on the bottom right. This takes you to where the action is happening. You should see a "My Devices" section. Once you have Mi Band displayed, click on this dot, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on "Disable". Yes indeed. You'll lose your daily steps, but that's about it. Then go back to My Devices and click Add Device. Select "Weigh Scale" then jump on the scale when prompted - no shoes or socks. It should register your weight and pair your device almost immediately. Then reconnect your Mi Band watch by going back to "Add device" and you're done.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • too silly
