While they offer more light and more control than cheap electric torch tea lights, they're not very well made and probably won't last more than a few seasons. by no means weatherproof. So if you plan on putting your jack-o'-lanterns where they can get wet, it's going to get wet. There are no gaskets on it anywhere to even remotely *try* to weatherproof it. That being said, they're not marketed as weatherproof, so you should already know you're stepping into them. The remote control, while packed with features, is pretty much useless. It's not RF, it's IR, which means you have to go outside, open the flashlight cover, and point the remote at the light. If you still need to do all that to turn it on, why not just take the extra step and add a real or electric tealight? Although the product description doesn't list the remote type, I just assumed it would be RF based on the use case of the product. no A mediocre product at best. Don't hate, but don't love either. If you can find something cheaper without an almost useless remote control, go for it.
