You could throw a Christmas party fully lit by them and have enough light for dinner, drinks and conversation. They give off an orange tinge, a little more white would be nice. They are quite large and the plastic "flame" is removable (just twist and pop). By removing it, you decrease the height by at least half an inch. The interior is a cone of LEDs with a 360° viewing angle. Why can't some of them be white, yellow or even blue? They blink randomly. I use them in my house and in my fireplace in the summer.
