I've been using it for a little over a week. I had to adjust a few times to find the right place to put it in, so I had to tighten and then loosen the clamp a few times and had no problems with that. During use, I did feel a slight vibration when looking at my phone on this mount while driving, but I don't think a mount can avoid such vibration. So all well and good and my LG G7 goes well with it and is holding up well. But today I wanted to move it to a different vent because it was blocking airflow to me. So I tried releasing the clamp the usual way, turning this knob to open it. The blocking lock had come loose except the clip was still clamped firmly onto my vent (see attached pictures). Luckily, after tapping, wiggling, and trying to use the head of a screwdriver to get it in between the clips etc., the clip eventually came loose and I was able to pry it safely out of the vent. I don't know if this is a common problem with this product. Maybe it's just a piece I got. Thought of returning it and getting a replacement if mine was defective, but contacting and sending it back is just a hassle. In the end, after moving it, I decided to just use it and avoid all the hassle of returning it. I hope I don't have to try opening it again. Aside from this decompression issue I had, everything else was great. I particularly liked the slow release of the side arms and how tight the clip is on the vent (although the tight hold can be an issue if you try to release it later).
