After reading other reviews, I thought this item "should" work on an old Glacier Bay toilet. Since I couldn't find similar products locally, I decided to take a chance and buy this item. Installation 5-10 minutes, the toilet works like new. According to other reviews I had to remove the black gasket material that fits the side hole in the toilet bowl - it was too tight. After removing this rubber material, the handle dangled a bit, so I wrapped a small strip of electrical tape around the small part that once had a rubber gasket. Works perfectly. I definitely recommend it. The price was ok too.
