Couldn't get it to work.
In lower gears (larger diameter sprockets) the idler guard contacts the cassette sprocket in front of the chain and prevents it from slipping onto the larger diameter sprocket. It's advertised for mountain bikes but doesn't work with the larger sprocket (40+). A road/city bike will probably do, but I don't recommend it for a mountain bike.
