You can feel the wires through the headphones, but it's not uncomfortable. You can feel it when you adjust it, but when you put it on you don't feel it. I wear them in layers so I wear a hat over them and it works great. I don't think just wearing them will keep your ears really warm, but they cover your ears and feel really good. I'm sure there are better ones but for the price I'm not really complaining, I use them every day.
