We ordered this for our daughter to take home for Christmas and we love it. No more worrying about dry-erase markers exposing or getting on clothes, furniture, or each other. Clear display, easy to write on, visible throughout the room. Interesting to see the colors of the rainbow. It's great that the pen is attached to the board, otherwise it would probably have been lost long ago. We love it so much we use it every day and half a year later we ordered a second one for our two year old's birthday. Now they don't swear about it anymore :) Our daughter broke off one of the pins holding the pen from rough handling, but now it stays in place. The main downside has nothing to do with this particular one, just the functionality of writing boards in general. If you're using it for a math problem where you want to write a part and then change its elements, you can't do that without deleting everything. In cases where we want the reference object to remain, the whiteboard still wins, but overall it's been an absolutely wonderful addition to our home. It's very thin and light, and we didn't try to travel with it, but recently found that it fits perfectly in an unused tablet case we had lying around. Battery replacement that was unexpected but valuable. Aesthetically I prefer the pen holder to match the board (like in yellow) rather than being so obvious on blue, but that's really just a preference and nothing that will put me off buying.
