I used some of these connectors to mount a low powered computer fan to slow down the NiCad (Nickel Cadmium) and NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries I use in some of my RC to empty cars and hobby trucks. These batteries have several different types of connectors in between (e.g. Tamiya, Deans and Traxxas connectors) so soldering the battery connector directly to the fan wasn't an option as I would have to make a few adapter wires. However, I have a charger that uses wires to connect the batteries to the charger. There is a connector for the battery on one end of the cables and banana plugs on the other end. I had several banana plugs but no sockets and I don't have a banana plug crimping tool so I needed some I could solder. . That fits, so I soldered the fan wires to these two banana plugs. This allows me to connect the cables I already have to the PC fan so I can connect any of my NiCad or NiMH batteries. It might not be the most electrically efficient setup, but it saved me a lot of time, and again, the purpose of a PC fan is to slowly drain the batteries. This is more economical than turning on the charger to discharge the batteries since the charger runs on AC power. I've plugged and unplugged some of my cords into these connectors and haven't had any mechanical or electrical issues. with you.
