A simple and effective tool to check for fleas

If your cat has fleas, use this comb as follows: heat a bowl of water, add some dish soap. Get some paper towels and a non-toxic flea spray (I used the one in the photo to spray my apron and table). If possible, go outside and place your cat on a raised surface, such as a bench. B. a table. Begin combing your cat's neck and head. This is where I found 80% of fleas - yes, even on my cat's FACE! Come in there! Then continue with the butt/tail area. Important: If you stop to look at the fleas, they will run away! I don't know about you, but I'm ready to die from all these suckers, so brush and dip (comb in very warm, soapy water). brush and dip. brush and dip. Think Hermione Granger. I've read reviews of people crushing fleas between their nails. First, it's rude. Second, "our" fleas haven't been kind to us for so long. Comb and dip. If too much hair gets caught in the comb, wipe it off with paper towels. If a lucky flea escaped soap death, use a spray. This comb is a great tool for checking for fleas and getting an idea of how well other treatments are working in the event of an infestation. At the moment our cats are taking Capstar tablets until enough time has passed to apply the new topical treatment. We also take care of our home. So the comb is just one of the measures we use to get rid of intruders, but I'm happy to have one on hand year-round to prevent a new infestation by catching fleas early.
