Poor Design and Manufacturing

Brief history: After about an hour and a half of installation, the cheap plastic filler valve screw broke immediately during installation, causing me quite a bit of frustration and abuse. Not to mention I had to order a replacement set from another manufacturer (which worked fine) and a replacement bidet connector which is now ruined by a cheap plastic screw stuck inside. Long story: God I hate this product. Let me count the possibilities: 1) The fill valve is usually attached to a float that sends water to fill the tank and then shuts off the water when it reaches the correct level. Well, the bottom screw on this one is the cheapest, softest plastic imaginable, and even after a careful and careful attempt to connect it to the lines, it immediately cut the threads and became impossible to seal. I had to cut it off with a power tool and reattach the old one. 2) The damper seal rises when you pull the handle, allowing water to drain into the toilet. This kit has a gasket made entirely of cheap thin rubber. So when you flush it it just pops and sometimes doesn't close properly and your toilet keeps working. Compare this to the old damper in my toilet and the replacement I had to buy which has plastic hinges that don't move sideways so it returns to the right place every time. 3) Wabble Tank 2000 - This kit includes some rubber washers to attach the tank to the base of the toilet, which doesn't seem that versatile. Now my tank rocks like one of those bouncing playpens. But the instructions say not to overtighten when installing, so I don't want to overtighten and crack the tank. I suppose this kit is meant to rock your tank. My toilet's original bolts didn't have rubber washers - I think I should have used those instead of the supposed upgrades that come with the kit. Annoying, but not a decisive factor. I would say that this kit is complete nonsense, but that would be an insult to Thomas Crapper, the maker of the toilets of the same name. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Get a kit of old-fashioned float valves from a trusted manufacturer. 4) Blah - I could go on like this. The damper seal chain is metal and sinks so it can get under the damper seal and prevent it from closing. The one I need to replace is plastic and floats - a miracle! The stupid flush valve clamp, which is larger than the diameter of the pipe it attaches to, makes installation a total pain.
