I purchased this item as a footstool for my office after coming back from knee surgery. It looked good because of the faux leather, it didn't look cheap. It's heavier than I thought it would be and has performed very well as a footstool in my office over the 3 months I've been using it. Now I'm taking it home and will use it to store books and other things I don't use every day. It connected easily, withstood kicks and supported both legs with no issues. It didn't slide on the carpet, which I feared. It's a good size and holds books and other items well. The top fits securely and I didn't have to worry about it popping out of the box. The cover stayed in place but could be easily removed if needed. I recommend this item if you need a footrest that doubles as a storage box. Easy to clean, again dirt stains from winter weather coming back from work, my boots weren't always completely clean, they had salt from the sidewalk and parking lot. I used some damp paper towels, wiped the stains and dried the storage box and it looks brand new. I recommend this product.
