After spending hours and days searching online and in stores for attractive, reasonably priced lamps, I took a chance and ordered two of these bedside lamps. This pair brings symmetry and class to my eclectically decorated bedroom. I appreciate the flexibility of the lighting for atmosphere and reading. The light is warm and cheerful or cosy, depending on your preference. I had no intention of spending a fortune in an expensive shop that now charges extra for shadows, for loud screams! . The Boulevard light is appropriate in terms of design. Not a whole lot of weight. While it won't become a family heirloom, its style is classically simple and artistic and will work in a variety of settings. Sufficient size for a living room. The bedroom needs more than a small bedside table. Someone might think that I spent more on these lamps than I did. The lampshades are white when the lamps are off; contained, they look like soft ivory. The order arrived (surprisingly) after just a day or so, was well packaged and in perfect condition. The assembly was uncomplicated. I am happy with my purchase and the great service. Addendum: After using these lamps for some time, I noticed that the column tilts slightly. While others may not notice, it annoys me and I regret not having made the purchase due to the poor workmanship.
