Bought for chamfering and buffing the edge of granite tiles for a 7 foot countertop in my bathroom and I found them to work very well for the price. Used them mostly "wet" but used the heaviest sand "dry" to make an initial 45 degree bevel on the edges of about a dozen tiles for the front and back. The Velcro backing fitted my Makita angle grinder perfectly, and I used the router's variable speed dial and turned it to the slowest setting to slow it down; Please note that these discs are NOT designed to run at the 10-11,000rpm speed that this type of grinder spins at, so read the maximum speed instructions to avoid injury! I recommend using them wet whenever possible, as they obviously wear out much quicker on the single disc I've used dry (although even that disc looks like it's still gotten plenty of use). Others I've used wet haven't shown much wear at all and I've used them quite a bit on this project. I'm not a professional and it may not hold up to long term or daily use for a professional tile/counter installer, but for the DIYer and occasional use I don't think it can get any better than what you pay for.
