I ordered this car blind to protect my dogs from the scorching sun when they are in a carrier in the back seat of my car. The size XL fits the window very well and provides maximum shading. Window coverings do not block views out of windows for safety reasons. The blinds are very easy to install and remove, and the plastic material provides a 'hook' on the window, keeping it securely in place. You cannot lower the windows when the blinds are in place as the blinds will 'pop' out of the window, but the product description on Revain clearly states this feature of the product. I highly recommend this car cover.
