I purchased Surge (a wave, not "surgical" surgery as many people translate it) to replace the previous Sensei, with whom we had been hanging out for about seven years, but only recently his RMB made the decision to stop working. And to top it all off, Surge is a fantastic mouse. Its uncomplicated and agreeable forms are adorned with the most exquisite 360 RGB backlight. This may be the ideal balance of appearance for a gaming device that is still kitsch-free (hello to the company whose name is embarrassing to pronounce), but on the contrary, stately and noble. The side buttons are in the appropriate locations and have the appropriate forms; the wheel has light cut-offs, which sensei lovers will adore; the clicks of the main buttons are satisfying; and the Omron mics have a total of 50 million clicks. The top sensor 3389 reports that there is no room for growth. Even if the cable is pulled down over the table, it is structurally impossible for the kink protection to rub against the carpet because the cable is so lightweight and braided. If you believe the person who wrote that statement, you should disregard it. They also write about the sensor "falling asleep" or about different versions of USB not being able to detect the mouse. However, the existence of these problems has not been verified. I tried it on USB 2.0 and 3.0; the mouse's state was determined each time the computer booted up; also, I examined the mouse to see if it went to sleep by letting it sit inactive for 15 minutes; everything worked well, and the cursor did not go to sleep. Again, the coating does not wear off after the first session (I have read other concerns that are similar to this), and the materials appear to be reliable. Everything is in working order here, including the position of the mouse's center of gravity; nonetheless, it is a truth that the mouse itself is disproportionately heavy for its size. This is not a drawback for me; on the second day, I stopped noticing it in my hand even while I was skating on long rinks; it does not interfere with control or flicks; etc.; but, I am confident that the weight will be able to turn someone away from purchasing the product. Are I content with the person who replaced me? 100%, despite the fact that I naturally feel terrible for Sensei and even a little bit of sadness because he was a cool guy, but Surge is simply superior in every way. Subjectively, it's the best mouse I've ever used, and objectively, it's rather good.
