Colors my hair very gently. I dare say this gives my hair the "illusion" of being darkened rather than actually being colored. On the other hand, it is very easy to use. I use it in the shower. It doesn't stain my skin which is the main reason I use it. I hate using other dyes when I look like I've painted my beard and cheeks with black magic marker (which lasts for days). I've found it works better on my head than on my beard. However, I am delighted with the product and will continue to use it.
