We bought these to use with our family room chairs. Assembly: I'm an experienced jack of all trades, so assembly was a breeze for me and took 20 minutes. Only one tool was required (e.g. a hex wrench) and it was included. Only the car had to be assembled; Trays have arrived complete. When tightening the screws, care must be taken not to use too much force. I would also suggest using wood glue on the caps. I could only apply pressure to set them, but I might glue them later. Pros: Trays are fully assembled. Decent quality pine with a light clear coat finish. The instructions are short and to the point. All parts fit as expected. Only one tool is required. Cons: some minor flaws; but nothing that could disturb the function or optically disturb. Made of soft pine. The caddy is good for holding them, but not good for carrying them around the house without two hands. Would I recommend to my friends: Absolutely.
