This is a fully waterproof case with pen holder. However, I have not tested "waterproof" and do not intend to. The case looks solid, but is very tight. The volume and power buttons are very difficult to press. Make sure your iPad is properly seated. It will only go one way. Unfortunately, my case had a scratch on the front, but oh well.
