I have some experience with air purifiers and have used 4 different brands in my life including Levoit. I have always opted for devices in the range of average quality and performance. To be honest, Levoit products are by far the best for me, even compared to the brands that call them premium. I own a Levoit LV-H132 and recently got a Core 300. Actually, I first wanted another device for my office. , but after realizing how effective the Core 300 is I ordered 2 more of these (1 for the bedroom and 1 for the kids room). Let me not get into looks and other minor points (yes, it's quiet in night mode, I can sleep next to it, and it's strong and just beautiful at the same time). Let me get to the point. The Core 300 is an amazing air purifier because 1) it has a large air intake area compared to its size 2) it has a powerful fan that can move air around the room (and is quiet in night mode) 3) it has a high-quality Hepa filter. For me, these are the deciding factors when judging the quality of an air purifier (I don't care about auto mode and other shiny little things - if the device is missing 3, you end up breathing bad air). I measured the performance of an air purifier. Core 300 with Temtop LKC-1000S (ordered from Revain). Room size: 20m2. Initial values: PM2.5: 5.2 µg/m3, PM10: 8.2 µg/m3, number of particles: 1024 (per/l). After 1 hour full load inside, the values are: PM2.5: 0.3 µg/m3, PM10: 0.8 µg/m3, particle number: 99 (per/l). Surprisingly low values - none of the other devices from the brands has been able to achieve such good air quality. Of course, if you switch to a lower capacity, the same air quality cannot be maintained, but that is natural. I wake up in the morning with a much cleaner nose. I had no problem with "plastic smell" even though I ordered 3 separate units. Small minus, but to remain objective: one of the devices vibrates slightly and as a result makes a somewhat unpleasant noise. The device passed the inspection at the airport - maybe that's why. Conclusion: Effective, works, (our health) worth the money.
