A Year Later: Computers and Accessories

I'd say I've had a year with this case and if I hadn't it detached from the back (where the valve cover connects to the back piece ) of the case) I would probably use it for another year. It does have some flaws but the value for money is excellent in my opinion compared to cases like the Speck which tout durability and protection for your device but if dropped too high the padding around the tablet will crack hereabouts. The case surrounding the iPad is made from this soft, silicone-like material. I haven't had any issues with tearing or tearing in this area at all. It gets dirty easily and no matter what I use, the stains don't appear on any part of the case. It's easy to slide the iPad in and out for cleaning, and my toddler keeps grabbing my case and dropping it off the table. I haven't had any issues with the iPad being cracked or damaged. I would say I wouldn't trust this case if dropped from a great height, but no damage was done due to small falls and constant landings in corners. One downside for me that wasn't a downside when I first got it is where the apple pencil holder is located. It's on the other side of where it needs to be plugged in to charge. This has never been a problem for me in the past as the Apple Pencil charges so quickly that if I knew I was going to use it I would just pick it up and switch to the charging side in a few minutes could do anything i need. Lately I've been encountering more and more situations where I just have to spontaneously use the Apple Pencil and every time I do it doesn't work because it won't charge when it's in my pocket. The best thing about this case is the three sections of the hinged lid. It's easy to place the iPad the way I want it, and it's also easy to fold away when not in use. I don't understand why other companies don't use this tri-fold method and it's only found in cheaper cases, but by comparison the Speck Folio, which is a lot more expensive than this one, is uncomfortable to use because although you have six positions to hold the Insert iPad - whenever I don't need the lid cover (which is 90% of the time) it takes up more space to hold it like a book when I need to take a picture of the back of my iPad or squeeze it with it my right hand on the back of the iPad when I'm trying to read or scroll while lying down to keep the lid from rocking and falling all over the place. This case allows me to fold it up enough to fit all three sides into one on the left side of the iPad. So when I'm reading a book or lying on my side in bed or even taking a picture, I don't have to worry about where it's going, wiggling the lid back and forth because I can hold it the way I do I usually hold an iPad and touch the screen with my right hand. Overall, for the money spent, I'm glad I had it for a year. but I will switch to another brand as I have already placed another order for another company.
