Over the years I've bought countless pieces of furniture to assemble and they all have some quirks like poor instructions, holes don't match, scratches here and there; but it has to be the closest assembled piece of furniture I've ever encountered. And yes, like other reviewers, I ran into similar issues and the drawer needed a little tweaking, but overall it's great value for money. There was a small scratch under the top but not visible, the instructions were good but not the best, there was no "marking" on one piece but you could tell from the pictures in the instructions. Overall the finish is as good as any assembled furniture, the packaging with an 'extra' bag of small parts (not needed) was a plus, the overall finish was very good and the packaging method was one of the best. the best I've ever seen. But seriously, unpacking all the parts and getting ready for assembly took longer than the assembly itself, which took me about 20 minutes alone, and I put a table lamp on top. Perhaps assembling all the parts from natural wood will be much easier and faster than dealing with chipboard or other manufactured "wood" materials! It's so easy to scratch black furniture with a black felt-tip pen!
