Decent value for short term use

UPDATE: I've had this cabinet for 7 years now. Everything was fine for the first 6 years, then the document drawer got stuck, I pulled too hard and the drawer bent very slightly. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to get back in shape. I still like the design but am now looking for a more durable version to use as a replacement.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Phone this cabinet mobile is something strange. It has no wheels. But it's light and easy to move. With only one filing drawer, I think it would be difficult to make this cabinet heavy enough to be difficult to move. If you pull the document drawer all the way out, which is still not enough, the entire cabinet will tip forward if the drawer is even moderately full. Putting your printer on top of this might prevent this, but I have my printer under my desk where this is not possible. And don't expect it to have the impact real office filing cabinets can. I consider this a definite improvement over "wood" chipboard cabinets. It's very light in comparison, comes pre-assembled (except for the handles) and glides over carpet. But if you need to store 18" files, get a 24" deep cabinet. You won't be able to get to the back of this crate when it's full.

Pros
  • Vertical filing cabinets
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
