Review on Sewell SilverbackSL Gold Pin Banana Plugs (12-Pack) for Spring-Loaded Input Connections (SW-30006-12) by Veronica Goodwin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Why 5 stars - just read on.

I bought this set of speaker pin grommets because I was interested in the following: 1. The pin is actually moveable/flexible which makes it easy to insert into different types of terminals or inputs to different speakers. If you've ever used hard pin cable connectors, you should know that some speakers leave their rear inputs very little room to hold the hard pins in place. Therefore, if you only insert the ends of the wire (no pin), it will be easier to hold it in place. These flex pins are wonderful and have proven to be the most useful and useful - they provide support for the ends of the speaker cables and ensure the connectors on the back of the speakers are firmly seated/snapped! 2. You don't have to solder them to the wire (which you have to do with many of these types of pins). You simply separate the inner part from the outer rim part by grabbing the pin part and twisting the bottom part with your other hand. On the inside you will see two screws - loosen them so that the ends of the screws do not protrude into the channel. Then insert the speaker wire into the duct, re-tighten the screws and then reattach the outer part of the connector - easy as pie. These are quality connectors and it helps to have so much in the package for the price. I connected them using audiophile-grade 12-gauge cable for short 6-foot lengths between my Edifier desktop speakers, which sit next to my desktop computer. I'm so glad I found these flexible pens. Your mileage may vary as all ratings are always subjective. I give them 5 stars - they are functional and well designed. Ben Herrmann Fukuai Varina, North Carolina.
