Design/Features: When unfolded, it is approximately 10" deep. The lanyard hole is about 9 inches wide. I have to fold the top in half to access my makeup, and yet it's kind of a reach-and-find operation. I find myself rummaging through it to find what I want. When it comes to makeup, I prefer something shorter with a wider opening so everything can be seen clearly. For toiletries like lotion, toothpaste, shampoo etc - this bag is fine if you want to carry medium sized bottles as it has enough height to hold them. Full size bottles probably won't fit because the pocket isn't wide enough. (Example: lotion, shampoo, cream conditioner) Many small bottles can be freely placed in it. The elastic compartments would be too wide to hold small bottles on the sides. Quality: The bag I received is of very poor quality. For example, the mesh compartments inside were not sewn, and one of those where it was sewn into 2 compartments has been completely unraveled so that it is now 1 large compartment instead of 2, as expected. There are other places where improperly finished ends unravel. Mesh pockets on top are separated by missing seams on the back. Last but not least, the bag can be "wiped down" instead of washed. I don't see how it can even be wiped clean with all the elastic and mesh sewn on the inside. Since it is basically a bag, keeping it clean would be very difficult or impossible. Bottom line: save money and spend a little more for something that lasts longer, is more functional and is easy to clean. Even gallon ziplock freezer bags make more sense to me. At least you can see everything clearly.
