I am an avid hiker and these shoes aren't well designed for more rugged walking.They seemed to be great at first but the sizes run small for starters - my right foot always feels like it's coming over the back edge and these are a size 10! I normally wear a 9 - 9.5. The original size 9 I purchased first were too small so these were the replacement.Pros: Comfortable, can go through water with ease, and cool for summer hikingCons: the straps that hold the back in place are already coming apart; too slippery when the feet get wet which causes real problems on hills/rocks, not very durable and the backs slip and cause blisters.Overall - a great shoe for light walking, household, gardening but not for heavy duty, serious hikers (more than 10 miles per week on 3* and above trails).
