Review on Fujifilm Finepix Digital Wide Angle Optical by Claudia Davis

Great camera! on digital cameras

I have been using a Fuji S3100 digital camera for a number of years. Great little camera, but it's outgrown it. So I bought this Fuji instead, but I'm not quite ready for a DSLR yet. The fixed lens has a useful 28-300mm zoom range, while the 9MP is an improvement over what I've used in the past. Another nice feature is the ability to instantly switch from color to black and white photography in the camera settings! The weight of the camera is well balanced and all settings are at hand when taking pictures. The movable LCD screen is suitable for taking pictures from an angle and looking down without using the viewfinder. For those of you who need a choice of card formats, both a Fuji xd backup card and a compact flash card are offered. I am currently using 2GB in each slot. Two options for USB powered trigger cables with threads on the top of the trigger. Good for those times when a tripod is used. The Natural Auto setting is suitable for both outdoor and indoor shots. The front thread allows the use of additional filters for lenses etc. The combination of the 58mm and 58mm threads reduces the likelihood of vignetting that occurs when using smaller optional lenses. So overall this is a camera that I will be using for years to come and am very happy with.
