I was expecting a sound improvement over my TV speakers, but I wasn't expecting full, loud sound from this tiny soundbar. 10 watts per channel doesn't sound like much, but it's more than enough to fill my large TV room with more than enough volume. I used an optical connection as that was the easiest to connect and I figured a direct digital signal would be more accurate than receiving an analog signal from my TV. It's super easy to connect and small enough to fit anywhere - I just put mine on a shelf under the screen. I've watched half a dozen music videos that have been streamed and none of them have the soundbar dying of power or the audio being distorted. It's not a substitute for a good stereo, but it's very good value for money.
