This is a really cool scratching post for cats. My cats are fickle and I never know what they will do and what will be ignored and ultimately a waste of money. But this test passed! I've had him for two days now and he has never been left alone. My only complaint is that it comes with no assembly instructions and can be fiddly. It is layered on itself but has no snap mechanism, it just rests on its own parts. That means the spinning balls can pop out pretty easily and aren't securely attached. If that doesn't bother you, no problem. (I have to watch them so my pup doesn't eat them - beware of choking hazard for small dogs or babies) A bit pricey for what you buy, cats will destroy it anyway. it looks good in public areas. I would buy again.
