I was skeptical when I received it. They're basically a hard cardboard base with a soft backing that won't scratch the records. I experienced grip running about 30 records through my vinyl cleaner (Record Doctor VI) and the Hudson grip allowed the record to be removed from the vacuum platen and placed in the liner without staining. The handle didn't slip and allowed me to hold on without risking damage from falling or touching my fingers on a freshly cleaned surface. a nominal nuisance, hardly worth mentioning. They're handy to have on hand and I'm sure the paper will wear down at the crease of the handle over time, but after some practice there's no sign of wear yet. At 3 I can keep one with my record cleaner and one with each of my two turntables so 3 packs was perfect for me.
