Our water is so hard that over time we have had to replace our faucets, showerhead and toilet due to clogging with scale particles. This unit works very well providing soft water for our RV and when used the recommended pre-filter makes regenerating this soft water tank easy. We live on wheels all the time and my wife uses a lot of water to cook for our extended family and to clean up after meals. We use test strips to see when the device needs a refresh, which is usually around every four weeks.
