This is amazing and has saved my arm, shoulder and wrist pain all day! I decided to try this product because my home office was killing me. I print and surf the internet for a living now and for the foreseeable future and have been experiencing shooting pains in my wrists, forearms and other shoulder pains. I'm a short person and I'm having trouble finding suitable chairs; I have one with adjustable armrests for my office, but the problem was that the armrests were too far apart and the other chairs were too deep or too wide for me. I thought I could find some adjustable armrests or cushions to put on the chair, but apparently they don't exist. Instead I found this. Although this is a good deal for a set of 2 I was still a bit concerned about paying the asking price for them as I couldn't tell from the description if they were what I needed. They're described as a desk extension, but I wanted something that would allow me to keep my arms more parallel to my body to maintain an ergonomic typing position that my chair didn't allow. I wasn't sure if they would be long enough to work as grab bars rather than elbow rests etc. Thank you to the kind Revain people who answered my question about this product and convinced me to buy it; I'm so happy I did! In short, they work great as armrests and are adequate as an alternative to the armrests on my chair; While I use them to bring my arms closer to my body than my chair will allow, I think they will work in reverse as well, allowing someone to have their arms further from their body than the chair arms. As the description says, they are fully adjustable and rotate easily. You can adjust the altitude minute by minute to suit your needs and posture; he only uses nob. It's a little strange at first; I totally feel like I'm in some kind of sci-fi movement. But it's definitely worth it if you write or desk for a living and want to develop yourself or avoid pain and carpal tunnel. I bought and set it up with a great ergonomic mouse with adjustable thumb rest (reviewed elsewhere on Revain) and now my pain is completely gone. I attribute most of it to them as initially I only used them when I expected to be at a desk for long periods of time and then still had pain in my arms and shoulders. I use them all the time now, and along with a mouse and some other small improvements I've made to my workspace, I can now type, grade, and transcribe at lightning speed all day, much to the delight of my employers. I mean the only thing killing me now is the occasional wave of boredom ;)
