I recently saw a similar personal alarm on a young woman's backpack and started looking for it myself. I found this alarm after reading reviews of other alarms and decided this one was the better of the two. The number of decibals was higher and the price was better. I bought them for me and two women who take care of my mother in law 24/7. They are wonderful and I want to make sure they are safe walking alone. My husband also decided he wanted one when I showed him how they work and how loud they are. I have 4 left for replacements or additional gifts. I tested all 8 alarms as a reviewer or two mentioned that some of them didn't work. All 8 were as loud as they could be. A great gift item this holiday season.
