This sash is the perfect (and affordable) accent dress for a 50's themed party! My biggest suggestion is that you want the belt to be snug enough for the buckle to buckle on the MIDDLE hole of the belt. Since the belt is part lacquered/part elastic it will look odd if the buckle is not fully centered. I originally ordered the smaller size shown but couldn't get the buckle into the center hole so I sent the belt back and ordered a size up which is PERFECT. The elastic on this belt isn't very stretchy, so it needs to be big enough to fit comfortably and still look balanced. Don't worry about numbers - just choose what looks best! Ultimately, it's AMAZING! (For my personal information, I wear Misses size 10 and ordered size 31-35 inches. Hope this helps.)
