I searched the internet for a new duvet for my new cot. I LOVE what we had for the smaller bed and wouldn't settle for anything. We only received it a few days ago but after opening and inspecting it turned out to be immaculate, held up well in the washer and dryer and had no smell before or after the wash. I was hesitant to make the commitment based on some of the reviews but for now I'm glad I made the choice. I tucked it into a thin duvet cover and it looks and feels quite fluffy. It comes vacuum packed so of course it looks (and is) flat when opened but not at all when washed and dried. It seems pretty light compared to comforters BUT I covered it up before washing just to feel the weight and felt it warm me up straight away. Combined with a duvet I expect this to be the perfect all season duvet. Maybe a little light for a harsh winter, but you can easily combine it with another duvet for extra warmth. Looks like it would be perfect for spring and fall. If you want something with significant weight this isn't for you, but if you want the feel of your duvet laying on top of you without weighing you down this is perfect, especially with a cover. .Definitely the feeling I've been aiming for now because it's in the duvet and on the bed. I would say the title is a bit misleading to some as it uses the term 'goose down alternative' so I'm expecting a real duvet but when you read the description it clearly states that this is the down alternative I was looking for for a child's room and accidents are inevitable. There were no obvious lumps or shifts in the fabric during/after the first wash and dry. I'll let you know if it doesn't last long but for now I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of this blanket!
