Okay, I did a little research before writing the review. So far it's 5 stars but will update if needed. Enjoy this review. I have two cats, one of which is very big and fat and loves to eat. A LOT OF. the other regulates food intake and is the perfect size, almost the perfect normal cat. The normal uses the drawers perfectly, never problems, I mean NEVER. Great is the pain. No health issues (verified), daily housekeeping and the biggest box money can buy. oh and tried a million different letters. Does not matter. He always uses (piss) at the very edge of the box, if at all, and sometimes prefers to poop on the tiled floor. Sometimes I would see him put his foot in the box and urinate like a dog. Another cat again. new box, new bedding, carpet, forgot to clean, never mind, uses the box just fine. So, to try and keep everything to a minimum, I got this mat. I have to say this house smelled VERY like cat pee because it could have gone somewhere else or dripped down. I can't stress enough how much I hate that smell. TO HATE. Well, somehow does this rug keep that smell out? Even so, he sometimes goes into it. I know this because a big clean practically kills me. Move the crate, wash everything, move the carpet into the tub, spray it and then collect all the urine that somehow got under the carpet. I don't understand and I've tried everything so I don't know how to get him to stop this. It's like a urine tornado smashed into this bathroom. I have to put on some sort of sterile suit and gloves just to get in there and clean up. However, just the fact that I don't smell that rancid smell in the house is enough to give it five stars. Oh and. It also catches dirt, eliminating the need to scrape wet clay off the tile with a tissue and fingernail that clings to the floor like cement residue. It used to be fun. So if anyone knows how or what I can do to get them to cut that out and use the boxes that would be great. Otherwise order this carpet, it's worth it.
