We bought this for our 2.5 year old daughter as her older sister's (the more expensive brand everyone knows) has stopped blistering and we wanted her to be able to have a working one . First of all it is pink that she loves. Second, when they first used it, I only poured a third of the bubble solution in and they ALWAYS chased and "mowed" bubbles. The bubbles seemed to cluster from time to time, but they are in seventh heaven! I didn't notice any leaks, but I saw another reviewer say we should tape the three small holes at the bottom under the mower, so we did just in case. Not sure if this helped or not but in any case we are very very happy with this purchase!
