Review on Singer by Bill Forbis

-Ability to load data from many different sources.-Easy to use-Open source.- Easy integration with Hadoop ecosystem.Singer is easy tool for loading large volume of structured or semi-structured unaggregated records into Hive/HBase tables using JDBC API (JDK 8). You can also perform queries over loaded record sets in real time via streaming jobs. It has great performance compared to other tools like Oozie, pig etc. Also there are some minor issues which will be resolved soon i hope:- Not able extract multiple fields at once when doing update operation while bulkloading.- Speed improvement after release 1.0.*1 as it was not fast enough before this version got released.*Few UI improvements required*More robustness during error situations.
