Review on Tripp Lite Cat6 Gigabit Snagless Molded Patch Cable (RJ45 M/M) - Blue by Adam Bates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The green color of the cable is much darker than it appears in the photos. Otherwise a very good cable.

First of all, I didn't rate "Stretch" even though it was rated 5 stars. It's a CAT6 cable, it shouldn't "stretch" as it's not jeans! That being said and back to my reason for the review. The color shown online does NOT match the color this cable comes in. I still give it a 5 star rating because it's a great cable, well built and I love the no hook ribs that are molded into the shoe. My problem is that I bought this cable to best match the wall in my living room which is an aqua hue. The cable is for a wireless PoE access point that mounts to the ceiling and my wife wanted a "not so blue" cable. I showed her this cable because I chose it because it was the lightest green patch cord on the market; and the woman saw and approved. I received the cable and quickly realized that it wasn't the shade of green shown in the photo. It's a dark green, more like hunter green. I don't blame Tripp-Lite because even taking photos with my own camera, I could see that my camera's auto white balance changes the color of the image on the screen noticeably to Kelly Green. I took two photos of the cable, one with the white LED and one without, and you can see from the pictures that they appear to be two different colors. So be careful when buying for paint. Look at my pictures when ordering color. The one of the two images that appears darker green is the closest match to the actual color of the cable.
