They are suitable for sewing tools

I bought these pens to make marks on dark fabrics. The pen works but weak. They do work, however, and will show up after a while when dry enough to be visible. If you need a better quality marker that can also be wiped off dark fabric, try soapy water over these markers on the fabric.
