Today I finally got the chance to try this cooling vest on my 5.5 lb Chihuahua. I bought size XS as it is the smallest possible size. The vest is well made; However, the size does not fit Chi's normal size. The front closure is too big and wide, which allows the dog to trip over it. Also the width of the front strap makes no sense with this XS size. Half of this should be used to stop interfering with the free movement of the front legs. I had to buckle her up to hold her in place. Otherwise my dog didn't seem to mind and was cooler on our half hour walk. She was just out of breath. It was 88F.
