Let me explain first. I originally ordered this as a replacement for the same one that lasted 4 years outdoors before water damaged the controls. I was very happy with it. The only thing it lacked was durability when the adhesive strip on the back peeled off at the ends, but the short strip or double backing tape on the ends held it for 4 years. When I got the new one I was about to plug the new controller into the old bar but it turns out the new panel had a socket the same as the one on the end of my old bar so it didn't connect. When I took out the new light bar it turned out that it also had an outlet, so I arranged for a return and replacement. They replaced me 3 days later. Before sending in a return, I wanted to make sure the replacement had the correct connector configuration. I was very surprised to see that the interchangeable flight strip has a plug on one end and a plug on the other. It got me thinking about what I would be returning so I opened the returns box and found it was the same, I just didn't look at both ends. I like this product so much that I'm keeping both and being charged for not sending the first one back.
