The blades fit the original Gillette pen perfectly and I have six of them. The person who had a photo of a caterpillar's head on their pen had a very narrow caterpillar. Compare my wide caterpillars to the other person's picture, you will see that the caterpillar on my hilt is very wide and perfect for the blades, and this person's complaining caterpillar has a very narrow head on the hilt, and that's why the blades don't slip. Compare my photo to his photo and if your caterpillar head is similar to mine just wide then the blades will fit perfectly. And they shave very well. If the caterpillar head is narrow, as in the complainant's photo, then the blades will not slip. Maybe someone else has an aftermarket pen. My pens are 40 years old and all use Taconic blades. This is a great shave and a great deal.
