This is our fourth pair of Stonz boots. We started with booties, which are great for toddlers, and then we bought them every winter as our kids grew. I get cold easily in winter and that has become a problem for me in relation to my children. So after long hours of research I invested in these boots (I say "investment" because they are a bit more expensive) and have never been disappointed. The inserts can be pushed out and pushed back in again with very little effort. There is Velcro on the collar of the boot that allows you to tuck your pants in and zip tight to keep the pants in place (unless the pants themselves are too short). There's also a drawstring at the top that you can use to tighten it a bit, but I've never been able to pull it so tight that it pinches them, which is good. The ankle strap is fantastic. This allows me to tighten the boot so it doesn't fall off just yet. We've played in fairly deep snow and not so deep but very wet snow and still haven't encountered a problem. They are very light which is a big plus because it allows my kids to run and have fun without getting tired when they have to stomp around in heavy boots. And on top of that they are great for keeping my children's feet warm. You might think that being underweight makes it harder or even impossible, but that's not the case. My kids have been outside for over an hour and have never complained about cold or wet feet. We get sleet too, so this can all be a problem for her. Chart because I noticed it's a little different from what Amazon posted. Even though they are a bit more expensive than other boots, I will keep buying these boots because they are really great. It's very comforting to know that my kids are out in the cold and having fun warming up.
