This W-King Bluetooth speaker definitely deserves 5 stars because it's the best I've found, but there are only a few downsides. Sound quality is generally very good; It's very similar to the Bugani which I first bought recently because the Bugani has a built in TF/SD card music player and allows you to work offline which is what I wanted, but it turns out that the Bugani SD Card Player has a defect, so I'm sending it back; See my Bugani review for details. I couldn't find a portable speaker with a built in SD card player that looked good other than the Bugani (all the others are too small), so I was forced to buy a bluetooth player so I could use what like good portable bluetooth -Speakers looked like W-King and Aiwa Exos-9. So the first downside of the W-King is obviously the lack of a built-in TF/SD card player. Throw it in and I'm sure it will sell well. Another minor downside is a dangling strap instead of a handle; I can see that with the controls at the top where they should be, the grip can block them, but the grip shouldn't go past top center; it could be on the back or even one end. After the Bugani's built-in player didn't work properly as mentioned above, I bought the Bluetooth player and would then buy the W-King, which I noticed earlier, but since it didn't have a built-in SD card player, I got it first instead Bought the Bugani, although the W-King clearly has better controls up top where they should be and the indicator light is easy to see too, while the Bugani has buttons on the end where they're hard to see and press, and the Bugani has a pathetic impression, the indicator light is behind the speaker grille and it's hard to see unless you put your head there and when you do you can't see the buttons at the same time!? So if you just want a Bluetooth speaker, the W-King has better controls and displays. However, before I bought the W-King, the Aiwa Exos-9 caught my eye. While it's bigger than I'd like and is more expensive, the size should result in better sound quality. Wow, that was a disappointment; see my Aiwa Exos-9 review. Both the Bugani and W-King produce better sound than the Aiwa, especially at lower volumes. You could say the Aiwa has better bass, definitely louder bass, but if you want to hear the rest of the sound the other two boxes are better and the other two are quite loud. W-King is slightly smaller. Main speakers than the Bugani and as far as I can tell the W-King tweeters are slightly larger than the Bugani. The resulting difference in sound quality means, as you'd expect, the Bugani has slightly better bass and the W-King has slightly better overall mid-range sound, but the differences are very small, both speakers sound really good overall and I'm am a music lover, that's a great encouragement. W-King's equalizer appears to have two options: off and on. Although the EQ reduces the overall clarity and volume a bit, I actually prefer it for most songs because the highs sound a bit harsh without it. I think they're probably interfering with the tweeters at a lower frequency than they should, resulting in harsh upper mids, and the EQ helps correct that a bit. Your best bet is to turn off the equalizer and try to place the device in a location where the harsh high frequencies aren't as noticeable, but this isn't always possible. It reminds me that the W-King with side radiators is far less picky about placement than the Bugani with rear radiators. The top buttons and indicator lights on the W-King make it a lot better than the Bugani. Unobtrusive until you see it in person, the three battery indicators on the W-King; excellent, especially since for long battery life it is better to wait until it is minimally, but not completely, discharged, and then charge it. It is therefore important to know the state of charge. I had no idea what the Bugani's state of charge was, although it says it has some sort of low battery indicator light somewhere. I don't know if the W-King's battery/batteries are replaceable which is another major imperfection because if not it will be bullshit in a few years. I think there will probably be something much better in a few years, so I think I might have to buy something else when the battery dies. Someone please tell me if it can be replaced. Which brings me to the ultimate imperfection. It's not really a disadvantage if it's the largest size you want, but with a lot of experience as a speaker, the larger size definitely makes it possible to improve the overall sound (not necessary, but possible), so they should make an even larger version. maybe even two. more versions, one about 2 inches larger in each dimension and one about 4 inches larger in each dimension. The tweeters don't need to be bigger, but larger meshes/deflectors/radiators will make the sound even better.
