holds onto urine smell

Pros: kept some litter from being tracked. protected floor under litter box. Easy to cleanCons: If you have an older cat who misses the litter box, this *will* keep it from soaking into your floor, however you can't get the smell out of. I've doused it in an enzymatic urine cleaner and left it outside in the sun after and it still smells. If I didn't have the older cat it would have been fine.

Pros

The textured surface of the mat helps to provide your cat with a comfortable footing as they enter and exit the litter box

Cons

The urine-proof layer can have a higher chance of bacterial buildup if not regularly cleaned
