Review on Universal Billet Throttle Thumb Assembly Motorcycle & Powersports by Josh Schweitzer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Works but very clunky

When I installed it the thumb lever was very far back. I had to stretch my arm in an awkward and uncomfortable position. So I drilled and punched in the wall of the top box area so I could screw in a small screw to push out the inner cable arm on the right side. So when you let go of the throttle, its resting point is closer to the handlebars instead of being so uncomfortably far away. Keep in mind that the thumb throttle is much longer than the OEM, by about an inch. The pivot bolt and internal cable pull are square rather than splined so there really is only one way to install the thumb lever, otherwise it will be too far forward to use in the home position. Badly designed. But if you have the know-how, you can get it working reasonably comfortably.
