Review on Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 Bluetooth Earbuds - White - Retail Packaging for Enhanced Wireless Stereo Experience by Erik Sanders

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor battery life and connection issues

Update: I've had them for about two months now. I currently get about two hours of use before hearing the low battery warning, which is a lot less than the advertised 4.5 hours. Also, I used them with a Bluetooth transmitter connected to my TV. At first they paired with no issues, then I had to reset the transmitter, and today they didn't connect at all. I've had no problems connecting my Plantronics Backbeat Pro headphones to the same transmitter, so I'm assuming the problem is with the headphones. I've filed a warranty claim with Plantronics so hopefully they can fix it. In the meantime, I'm reducing my rating from four stars to one. ____________________ I was able to find a seller here that sells these new ones for $27. The next best deal I saw was $30 for a refurbished one and about $50-60 for a new one. If you can find them for a low price, go for it. When they came out in 2013, they made many recommendation lists. However, there have obviously been some updates to the headphone game since then, and while they were designed back then to compete with other $80 headphones, years later they really don't hold up at this price point. But if you can get them cheap, they're probably better than pretty much any other sub-$30 pair of headphones you can find. You sound pretty good. Bass is decent (for headphones) if you can get a good seal with the earcups. There are three; I went with the smallest. (I have narrow ear canals.) They didn't fit my girlfriend at all. Comfortable enough but not great. The highs are pretty clear. I use them to watch tv while riding my bike and they are very good for listening to conversations etc. I don't move my head much while riding and I feel like they don't stay in place while running. or other vigorous exercise. Pairing with my phone was easy, although I had some trouble connecting it to the Bluetooth transmitter attached to the TV, but it could be an issue with the transmitter. The battery life is short, about four hours. hrs. Reading other reviews online I'm not entirely sure about their durability; I hope they hold up.
