I really like this product for distribution.

I run my stereo and video projector from an HTPC at the end of the room, so I usually use the multimedia keys on my keyboard to control the volume. Unfortunately, the new compact keyboard I bought to make room for the mouse doesn't have dedicated multimedia keys (a mechanical keyboard with cherry brown keys - if you've typed on standard rubber dome keyboards and can live with a louder keyboard). , don't run to get one of these, my typing speed has doubled). So I searched and found this USB volume controller. It's really very simple, one big button that controls the volume and mutes the sound when you press it. And it's a pleasure to use! If you're used to using the volume up and down buttons, you'll be amazed at how much easier it is with the button. Because it adjusts the volume setting of Windows (or whatever program you are using). if it is subordinate to the Windows volume control or works with media keys), it does not process or degrade the sound. And it's completely plug and play. The body of the device is made of metal and is pleasantly heavy, which is unusual for a cheap device, so that it is not touched. It's not exactly tiny, though, maybe 2 inches by 3 inches. So what can I improve? The company warns that the cable should be unplugged if the device is moved - it's a micro-USB connector and obviously fragile. So I'd like something more reliable, like a full-size Type-B port if that fits, or just a standard full-size USB (I'm not sure how durable USB-C ports are yet). I also had a little trouble inserting the cable (free cable is included). There is a blue "breathing light" under the handle, which annoys me especially at night when the blue light can keep you awake. There's a night mode that turns off the light when you're not turning the knob, but it still lights up when you turn the volume knob. There must be a way to disable this. But I was able to crack it by removing the handle and wrapping a piece of tape around the LED. You might also consider a red light due to a nighttime issue (like everyone else using blue LEDs). Basically, I'd like to see some multimedia keys, since a lot of people will be using them with keyboards they don't have. That might be an option - there seems to be plenty of room on the chassis. Personally, I would love to see a play/pause control because if you just mute your program or album, your program or album will just continue playing with no sound. But you can also add track forward and backward buttons for the three buttons on the front panel. I also saw a version of the same device, but more compact, rounder, with a volume control. It's more expensive but it's probably what I would buy if I knew about it as space on my small mobile desk is limited. But overall, this is a great device at a great price.
